Dr. Victoria Demos is a licensed clinical psychologist with a practice in New York City and Fairfield, CT. Telepsychology sessions are available by appointment for clients throughout both states and 42 states nationwide.

She works with individuals and groups navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions, and longer-term challenges such as creative blocks and social isolation. She also supports individuals with Executive Functioning Disorder in building sustainable organization and achieving meaningful goals.

Dr. Demos believes in a collaborative, tailored approach, drawing on a range of theoretical perspectives to meet each person where they are, at a pace that honors their comfort and growth.

Her specialty in Relational Psychoanalysis and the intergenerational transmission of trauma informs both her clinical work and her writing, teaching, and presenting in the field.

Are sessions available in person or virtually? +

Dr. Demos offers both in-person sessions at her New York City and Fairfield, CT locations, as well as telepsychology sessions via a secure video or telephonic platform. Many clients have found that meaningful and productive work continues virtually. You and Dr. Demos will choose the format that works best for you.

What can I expect during my sessions? +

Each session is designed to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. Everything discussed is strictly confidential. The goal is to help you develop new ways of thinking and apply what you learn to your everyday life, and you will feel respected and recognized in every session.

How long are sessions? +

Initial consultations are 55 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 45 minutes each.

Does Dr. Demos accept insurance? +

Dr. Demos is an in-network provider with Wellfleet Insurance. For other plans, you may submit invoices from your sessions for out-of-network reimbursement. Please reach out to discuss your specific insurance situation.

What is the cost per session? +

Session rates are available upon request. A sliding scale is also available, so please don't hesitate to ask.
